Excellence in Critical Care: Honoring Dr. Aravind Chandrasekaran
Kutch celebrates a proud milestone as Dr. Aravind Chandrasekaran, Director of the ECMO Program and Lead Consultant in Critical Care Medicine at K.K. Patel Super Speciality Hospital, Bhuj, receives the “Excellence in Critical Care Medicine” award at the Gujarat Healthcare Excellence Awards 2026 in Gandhinagar. This prestigious honor reflects his outstanding contribution to advancing critical care in a Tier-3 region.
Under his leadership, the hospital has achieved remarkable milestones, including becoming Gujarat’s only ELSO Silver Level ECMO Centre and successfully managing Kutch’s first ECMO airlift and a 56-day ECMO bridge to transplant. His efforts have also led to the development of ECMO retrieval services, advanced training programs, and international collaborations.
